The Effect of Acculturative Stress On Anxiety and Depression among Chinese Students in Korea

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of acculturative stress of chinese students on anxiety and depression among chinese students in Korea. The subjects are composed of 69 chinese students who are in an university of Chung Cheong area. The Acculturative Stress Scale for International Student was used to measure acculturative stress. The anxiety was evaluated through Beck Anxiety Inventory and the depression was measured through CES-D. As a statistical program, SAS was employed to analyze the collected data. Using SAS program, descriptive analysis and simple regression and multiple regression were conducted to study the research questions. The analysis results are as follows: Both hostility and guilty feeling have an influence on anxiety. Feelings of guilt and homesickness have influence on depression.
